(Is it possible?!) 2) I dont think youc an use mp3s as ringtones. Straight from the SMT5600 manual: 1. Go to where your sound file is stored on your desktop computer and copy the file. The WAV, MIDI, and WMA filetypes can be used. 2. In ActiveSync on your desktop computer, click Explore, go to \Storage\Application Data\Sounds, then paste the sound file into the Sounds folder. 3. In the Home screen of your Smartphone, select Settings > Sounds from the Start menu. 4. Select the desired category (such as Ringtone, Reminders, New E-mail, etc.), specify a sound, then press the Left Softkey ("Done").

Guest KenR7A Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Ok, I was just browsing the internet through Active sync. In the active sync options, I set the passthrough internet to "Work". Then, on the phone I went to Start>>Settings>>Data Connection and went to Work and set it to Passthrough. (This option seems to only be available when the phone is hooked up. Then I opened Internet explorer. I went to its options, and then Connections. I selected "Work" as the network. Then I went online! The stupid "G" never appeared on the Signal Bars so I know that it was not GPRS. good luck!
Guest KenR7A Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 thanks, worked like a charm <{POST_SNAPBACK}> awesome! 8)

Hope that helps.

Another way to check to make sure you are not going out over GPRS is just to drop into flight mode!
