How can I load Ringtones from MiniSD on SP5m?

Is there anyway to load ringtones from my MiniSD, or

will i have to continue placing them on the device?

You need to create a my documents folder on the mem card and place the ring tones in there

Yep, works great. You can also put additional Homescreens there, just have to edit the paths to jpg's in the xml.

I don't have the miniSD yet, so I can't try.

Yes. Put them on your card as explained in the posts above. Go to a contact and add a specific ringtone to that contact through 'Edit Contact'. Works without problem.
