Guest GuyAdams Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 Hi All, I have an i-mate SP5 and have suffered this little niggle a few times now. Basically straight after I have finished any semi-processor intensive application or function, if I try to play an mp3 the audio quality is awful, it crackles and sounds like its being projected from a wooden spoon. To resolve this all I do is stop it playing, wait a few seconds and restart media player then all is well. Same goes for if someone rings me straight after using any semi-processor intensive application or function. If there is a few seconds delay between finishing what I'am doing then being called or playing music all is well and good and this is the case for 99% of the time. Its not a major issue but certainly bugging me. Anyone else suffered this? Regards GuyAdams
Guest Cybertronic Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 (edited) I haven't experienced that but I've experienced stuttering in music which occurs every 20 or so seconds in both WMP and TCPMP after using the phone for awhile. It can be fixed by turning off the phone and on again, however I wouldn't want to do this all the time :) Edited December 6, 2005 by Cybertronic
Guest roma0803 Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 No, not really. What semi-processor intensive application or function did you use when this problem occurs? This behavior is not supposed to happen.
Guest GuyAdams Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 What semi-processor intensive application or function did you use when this problem occurs? This behavior is not supposed to happen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its nothing major, just for instance: if ive just finished a long text message and maybe the file explorer and pocket ie are still running in the back ground. These arnt what I would class as massive power hungary apps. If I then close's these apps using task manager and restart windows media player, all is usually well. I wonder if it is because its streamed from the mini-sd card. Its a branded card, Transcend, used it in my C500. Wonder if I re-format the card, that would help? Any opinions? Regards GuyAdams
Guest roma0803 Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 (edited) Well, I have all my music on my SanDisk 1GB card and it always plays without problem. Just during running some programs, music might crackle a bit. Mostly when I open the program, as soon as it runs, music sounds fine again. I'm not sure it's a card issue, though I'm not sure what it could be at all. Edited December 7, 2005 by roma0803
Guest GuyAdams Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Its odd, altough since posting I havent suffered with the issue! Regards GuyAdams

Guest notaliberal Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Why would you post a question, that has nothing at all to do with the thread you posted it in, in a thread that's two years old? Good grief. Use the search function, and your head...
