Windows Mobile 2003 Windows Mobile 5 Compabatility

I have a question

I used to have a SPV C500 but he's wasted

So now I must buy a new phone, and I was thinking about the SPV C600

But the SPV C600 runs Windows Mobile 5

And I was wondering if Windows Mobile 5 could also run Windows Mobile 2003 applications?

Some applications are compatible, some are semi-compatible which will run in a smaller window due to the screen resolution being bigger than WM 2003 SE or some refuse to run at all :D
