TomTom BT GPS with BT car kit

I am running TomTom 5 on my SPV M500 with the TT BT GPS2 receiver. I want to use a BT car kit (actually a Pioneer DEH-P70BT bluetooth car stereo).

I can connect to the stereo using handsfree profile and this works fine for outgoing calls, even when TomTom is connected to the the BT receiver. TomTom mutes its own sound, but continues to navigate.

However, if I answer an incoming call, TomTom immediately loses it's connection to the BT GPS receiver. When I finish the call, it re-connects.

I can't find any way of manually specifying the BT com ports on my SPV.

Any ideas?
