Guest Maaz Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Haya guys... I'm having some difficulties with the wizards on board alarm function. I have to get up at different times in the morning, so beginning this week I set the Wizards alarm on 5:45 o'clock... The Alarm went of at that time....even though the phone was in standby mode. I had some difficulty with the phone not coming out of standby mode, but that happens seldomly. Now here comes my issue, this moning and yesterday I had to get up at 5:15. I changed the same alarm I used on monday from 5:45 to 5:15. The alarm went of at 5:15. Then at 5:45 the alarm went of a second time, with the same text(text you can ad to an alarm).... I hope this doesn't happen every mornig.... Anyone got the same issues, and maybe an explenation or way to solve this? I'm still trying to find an Alarm program that will get the Wizard out of standby mode, but didn't succeed yet, any of you guys(or gals) have an Alarm program I can use in stead of the "unstable" alarm of the Wizard? Or has anyone gotten an idea on how to get the alarm more stable? :??: Any help would be welcome.... Thanks...
Guest Phil Lee Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 I had something very similar happen on my MDA Vario. I had set an alarm for 7:20am for weekdays. I then changed it to 8am. I then set a different alarm to go off at 7:20am. I changed the 8am alarm to a weekend alarm at 9am. When the 7:20am alarm went off I had two alarms going off at the same time. I deleted all the alarms and even went through the registry but couldn't find any reference to the mysterious 7:20am alarm which kept on going off. In the end I hard reset my phone to sort the problem out. Since then I've gone back to using my clock radio as an alarm.
Guest mrdo Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 although i've not had exactly the same alarm issues, the fact that they're not at all reliable means that i'm still using my old phone to wake up in the morning. they better fix this issue with a rom update or this will be the first phone i've ever returned as unfit for purpose.
Guest Maaz Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 hmmm  hope a hard reset isn't neceserry.... hopinghoping...... :??: Thanks for the input though.....

Guest TrippinBilly Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Anyone else got any idea how to get rid of the alarms, and what a decent alarm program is for wm5? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've had a similar problem. I set the alarm to go off at 6:30am on a Monday. It went off fine, but it would never turn off if I disabled the alarm. I looked around in the Registry to see if I could find an entry, but to no avail. I thought I had found something at first under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Clock There are 3 keys in there labelled 0, 1, and 2. I deleted them thinking that would fix it, but it didn't appear to. :?:
