Guest SSR Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Hi folks, I want to upgrade my 512Mb miniSD card to a 1Gb. There's never enough space! (I hope this is as large as they get, because I've bought a 1Gb now) Anyway, can I just copy the data from one miniSD card to another, using a temporary partition on my PC and a card reader? I'm loathed to have to reinstall everything again if I can avoid it. TIA
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 That's what I always do and have never had any problems. When you say "temporary partition," I take it you mean copying the card's contents into a folder in My Documents on your PC called "Temporary Partition." That's a bit OTT - I would just call the new temporary folder "SD" :)
Guest SSR Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Ah sorry, yes temporary folder I meant. Glad to hear it works. I was worried that moving applications onto a different card would upset the phone.

O and SSR: Yes you can. ;) James EDIT: Haha guess I was wrong (read post above) - that's what you get for taking too long to reply  :) Edited December 7, 2005 by Jamma14
