Guest matpj Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 hi all, i'm trying to use my TomTOm Nav 5 with a BT GPS receiver I purchased over eBay. I can find the GPS unit if I try to add it to my devices. I have also successfully paired with the device when using the TomTom software. Then my phone (M500) needed a reboot, and since then I just cannot get the TomTom software to find the device. does anyone have any experience with this. All I get is "No GPS device" at the bottom of the TomTom Screen now..
Guest Pondrew Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 Haven't got TomTom Navigator so can't be sure but I've heard it can take a short time for the Pocket PC to find the GPS device and while it's doing this it'll still say 'No GPS Device'. Aside from that have you tried removing the GPS receiver in bluetooth settings and repairing?
Guest spangelsaregreat Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 Hi, I had this problem with my MDA Compact. Basically Tom Tom would work fine for a week or so then it would not connect. I had to delete the bluetooth connection GPS receiver and then recreate it. Since I upgraded my ROM to the latest one from T-Mobile it has worked without any problems. Might be worth speaking to Orange to see if there is an updated ROM available for the M500. Regards
