M5000 Video Calls..

Hi all,

Has anyone managed to call a NON Orange phone and have a video call?

I call my sister on 3 (she has full 3g coverage), her phone rings but just says 'wating for video'

She calls me, the phone knows it's a video call, but no image from her side...

I called 3G at Orange on 350 and the bloke called me from a M5000 and it worked, we had a video call. I called him, and it worked too.

One thing to note though.. the software automatically MUTES your video, (puts a red cross over the camera icon on the left) this is whether you initiate or receive a call...

so.. anyone have any sucess?

I have the same problem. After contacting orange they said it was the 3 at fault. I cant video call anyone on 3.

Brilliant! now l can't call the only person I know with a video phone. No wonder why we get free video-calling, not exactly a loss-leader for Orange is it?

I called someone on a T-mob MDA pro today and it worked once she turned on the camera.

I'm using an O2 exec with an Orange USIM.

am in australia currently with my exec on vodafone 3g oz; managed to videocall my gfren in malaysia who's on maxis 3g my.

unfortunately with maxis, she can't call another telco or overseas...
