My spv c550 recently has gone realy quiet when playing audio in media player i turn up the volume on the headset an the media volume and the volume button on the side of the phone. this ccauses slight changes but audio is very quiet i have esablished that it is not the headset as with no headset through the loud speaker my music is still quiet

It's possible that the audio file is coded with a low aplitude. Have you tried other audio files or even midi files to see if they have low volume when played through the phone ?

It may also be worth trying the latest TCPMP which allows an audio increase via a preamp setting.

You could try re-encoding the audio file and increasing the amplitude.
