SMS Backup on SPV-C500

Hi, i have an SPV C500 and i want to upgrade the software on it, but i don't want to loose all my text messages, is there any way to back them up? preferably in a way that can easily be restored, and at best that will allow active sync to send them to outlook?

There are a few around, so I won't give you a direct link, but try searching on this forum for AllExport or SPstudio. Commercial alternatives worth checking out can be found on Handango etc and are usually Jeyo products.
