How do i delete a program?

I have installed a program and its not to good so i want to delete it, i clicked remove program, but it didnt remove it, i have tried deleting it from file manager but it work go.

Go to task manager and stop all programmes from running and the try. If this does not work connect your active sync and on your PC go to tools>add/remove programmes then untick the relevant box and apply, this should remove it but you may have to disconnect/reconnect activesync. If all this fails re-install the offending programme and go to remove programmes without running it. :)

i'll give it a try, but i dont have active sync, i'm on a better OS than windows (Mac OS X)
