It's a sad day with the demise of the Routemaster bus from the landscape so here is a pic in QVGA size if anyone wants one for their smartphone :cry:

They're freezing in the winter, easy to fall off when pissed, and I even saw an old lady fall off one near Sloane Square, once. Okay the bus wasn't going too fast and she did try and hop off, but the driver, oblivious because he can't see on them, carried on whilst the conductor just looked on. If i'd have caught up with the bus i'd have hit the conductor. She was alright, but a little shocked.

They're old, and have polluting, archaic engines.

But if you really want to ride one still, apparently there's 16 an hour still doing a tourist route past Trafalgar Sq.

That's why I would have hit him. But the tendency for people to try and get off when they shouldn't is also why she fell off.

Fair enough, but the 139 until it was replaced had right old rattley knackered old routemasters that never sounded healthy.

Agreed, and they take up more roadspace that a double decker with the same capacity would. I don't think they are a great solution to Londond's overcrowded roads. Plus, the amount of times i've seen them blocking junctions.
