Guest modest_mouse83 Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 Hi all, Sorry if this question has been asked before but I'm in desperate need of some help! I'm currently living in a house with no phone line and as I only need to check a few e-mails and visit a couple sites this isn't a huge problem. However, i want to be able to use my SPV c500 as a modem via the usb cable so that I can browse the Internet on my laptop. Can anyone provide an 'idiots' guide on how to do this? I'm using Windows XP with SP2 if thats any use...any help greatky received!!
Guest martin Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 You can find instructions in the 'PC and phone connections' topic in the FAQ section. http://www.modaco.com/PC_and_Phone_connections-t89283.html
Guest modest_mouse83 Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 Hi again, thanks very much for pointing us in the right direction. However, i've followed all these steps and still have a problem. I didn't have any problem while following the instructions but when i try to connect i get a message saying 'Error 692-There was a hardware failure in the modem (or other connecting device). The modem shows up,I've looked through the dial up connection properties and everything here, and everywhere else looks fine. CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP WITH THIS?
