How to update ROM on SMT 5600

I have an unlocked SMT 5600 that came as a AT&T (now cingular) phone. What I would like to know is if there is a site I can go to, to get ROM updates. I would also like to get the carrier build off of the phone and put the basic setup on. Are there other carrier builds available? I currently use T-Mobile. Thanks in advance for any and all help!!

this has helped me alot. i had an unlocked phone, but wanted to make it my own (T-Mobile). i found help on this site.
