Keyboard skins

Anyone know of a way to change the keyboard skins for the pop up keyboard?

Have seen something about it on buzzdev but would rather not have to alter the ROM version.

Ideally after something that just works!

But perhaps a 2nd keyboard sip? a customized one... i'd be happy with that (i too want a skinned one).

I'd also be interested in skinning intellipad but that's in rom too. anyone know how to make a 2nd copy of either of these and install them alongside their rom originals? there are reg hacks you can use to show/hide input methods from the selection.

no, that's something else entirely. i've used that dialpad and it's nice, but we're talking specifically about text input options.

It seems the keyboard skins on that site are only for other htc phones of a different rom version.

Surely there's some way to just sort of change the 'name' of a keyboard or intellipad input panel, and install it alongside the original.... oh well
