Where do you have the MP3's stored? Can you select them from the settings/sounds menu? Does the MP3 play normally in Pocket Media Player? Do you have the volume up (through the buttons on the side of the phone)?

Hello all,

this is my first post.

First off all big thank You to MoDaCo. Great Forum.

I hope I could be of some help and get some in return as well.

I got my Qtek 8310 last Friday and it's so good it hurts :) . I didn't sleep until I got all the functions working properly. The worst thing was how to get MMS to work. Now I'm having trouble with bluetooth with my Dell X50v. They find each other without any problem but some things like file transfer do not work in both ways. Only Qtek 8310 to Dell X50v.

In relation to the ringtones:

You can download a program RJV Tone Setter from http://www.airfagev.com/downloads1.asp?id=115 a free and handy utility for setting ringtone, sms tone and system sounds. Lists WAV, MID, WMA and MP3 as supported ringtone files from any folder on your phone or Storage Card. I think You should store everything You can on Storage Card and keep the Internal Memory as free as possible.

Best regards from Serbia & Montenegro,

Have you got the box ticked in start>connections>beam? This allows the device to receive bluetooth. :)

Hey Looby, thanks for the reply.

Of course I did turn the beam on and still nothing happened. I just don't know what's wrong. I tried everything ( they connect on serial port just fine ) but Dell just doesn't want to send the file to Qtek 8310 :D

Beside that everything works just perfect !

RJV Tone setter:

Store the mp3's on the storage card my documents- my music. Then open the program Rjv Tone Setter. Go storage card-my documents-my music then press menu and there You'll se an option "set tone as....." Now set the ringtones for each function You like. It works on my 8310 so it should on Yours.

My favorite ringtone attached 8) :
