Guest nuttyphilt Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 Just wondering if we can do a quick straw poll of how people are using their Wizards and subsequently what kind of battery life people are experiencing? I only got my Vario yesterday so I'll post my results in a week or so :)

It was already charged about 30% when I opened the box so I gave it a couple of hours on charge then used it until it died.... Then I fully charged it today.

I'lll see how the battery holds up and report back later in the week. 8)
Guest bennish Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 it's fantastic. my old eten, i' have it without charging for a day or two and it would be flat, warning, auto backing up. the k-jma, i have bluetooth on all day at work, mess around with it, install software etc, make notes, make calls, stay over at a friends house, when i get home it's above 50%. really pleased. i'm not sure how that compares to the magician tho... i'm assuming this is thanks to persistent storage (not as much charge being used to keep things in ram) a nice capacity battery, and an efficient processor.
Guest timmillwood Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 i use mine alot, because its new, and i charge it all night every night
Guest Emad Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Lasts just over 2 days with pretty hardcore use. Used it for about 6 hours today (emulator, photo and phone) and it went from 60% to 10%. Reckon it could last a week with occasional use - the new dual core processor does wonders (now if only someone could figure out how to use the 2d hardware acceleration it has built in..). Oh, btw, the usb charging is pretty rubbish. Takes about 5-6 hours to do a full charge. Always use the mains when you can.
