Guest www.dark-e.com Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Just wondering if anyone knows if the Audible player works on the I-Mate SP5?
Guest shadamehr Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 If (as it seems from the sites concerned) this is a Pocket PC piece of software, then NO, it will not work. But let me quantify... It MIGHT actually load and run, as with the advent of WM5.0 as on the SP5, MS use a more unified operating system, that is actually fundementally the same as on the Pocket PC. BUT... Control of buttons, clicking, screen presssing etc, will make useage all but impossible. A bit like Skype, how it 'runs' on a WM5.0 SmartPhone, BUT, to click buttons etc, you need use a PC based Screen control application, so you can even click the 'buttons' on it. So it MIGHT actually load (and I am not even promising it will), but when it does, how would you control it, and click the buttons etc, that require a Pocket PC for onscreen stylus taps etc?

Guest www.dark-e.com Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 They have a Smartphone 2003 version. Any chance the WM 5.0 is backwards compatiable?
Guest shadamehr Posted December 13, 2005 Report Posted December 13, 2005 In terms of the PC Emulation route, why would anyone want to, as if ya gonna use your PC as part of the process, why not just use a PC version anyway?
