Guest yil0ng Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 hey all, NB: this is my first post and i am somewhat of a novice, bordering on chump-like status, so i hope this isn't a really stupid question. apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but i was wondering if there was any way to get the phone identified as an audio input/output device in windows xp using the usb cable? i just think it would be more conveniant for me if i was chatting online if i could specify my mic input and audio output as my HTC device for VOIP or MSN chat etc etc. so i could chat over my smartphone instead of seting up my microphone and headphones etc. thanks in advance, YiL0ngZ
Guest yil0ng Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 okay, maybe it was a stupid question, 'coz i haven't had any replies :) any links or urls or a simple "no, it cannot be done", would suffice. cheers, yilong.
Guest Alex_le_brit Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 I've asked this before, and so of course looked to see if you'd had a reply, because I never got one. Pity because like you say, being able to use your phone for VOIP while at home and near your PC would be great.
Guest MiG:uK Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 or the ability to play phone calls through the computers speakers and use the handsfree kit as the mic to keep the echo levels down.
