ActiveSync 4.1 and 8310

Hi guys,

I cant get ActiveSync 4.1 (AS) and my new 8310 to work together.

I have downloaded the latest version from microsoft, installed it and connected my phone. AS then starts up and a small window appears saying that the settings is extracted, this window however, never disappears again. The phone does not sync, but I am able to browse the phone.

I have read the guide on MS homepage about opening ports i firewalls, and did as the site says about my firewall (Sygate Personal edition).

Can somebody please help me? :cry:

As i wrote in my first post, I HAVE read the guide on the site you are refering to but without any luck...

Hence my question here...

Have you tried disabeling your firewall, including the Windows firewall? Shut it down, reboot (disable autostart) and try to sync.

You have read the guides. ok good. I use sygate aswell and Have got mine to sync ok using those guides. That is the reason i directed you to them.

I have tried without the firewall... The windows firewall is disabled. The only thing left is to try a reboot without sygate starting up during the boot proces. Will give it a go and get back with the result.... Thanks guys!

Just tried it without sygate starting up after reboot and it works... Has had any succes with openening the ports as told in the MS guide?
