SP5 - Who has stock?

I've always bought my phones direct from the operators but now fancy an SP5.

Can anyone recommend a good online supplier? (That has stock?)

I ordered from there last week and it said in stock at the time, and still does even though I've spoke to them and they admitted they have no stock at the moment!

Heres a copy of the email they sent me after I emailed asking them about stock;

"Dear Mr Killian,

As the order and site says, the estimated delivery time is that 7-10 days.

We cannot be more precise as that is dependent on sufficient stock being

available to meet the demand for the unit, as at present demand is much

higher than available stock. The next large batch into the UK is due in the

end of this week/ beginning of next, so we should be able to fulfil your

order then.

I found this kind of funny because when speaking to them on the phone the day before they told me they had no idea when the next lot of stock is going to be in.

I'm gonna stick with them though and see how long it takes, I'll let you know when I receive it.

Then i ordered from expansys.. they lied about delivery time twice.. finally they said some time in december and even then you may be too far down the list (order was placed early november!)

In the end i ordered from phones2udirect and mobilefun to see who would deliver first. Mobilefun did in about 7 days, while phones2udirect were still telling me there was no stock in the uk lol

Anyway mobile fun has it in stock right now :shock: :

Their online 'in stock' is more genuine, if it says its there, then it most likely is.

Agreed - This is where I bought mine from. Also their 1GB MiniSD cards are quite cheap.

I've cancelled my order with phones2udirect and ordered one from mobilefun earlier this morning............. and its already been despatched royal mail special delivery!!!!!

Heres hoping I get it for tomorrow!!!!!! But I probably won't beings as Saturday isn't technically a working day :cry:

Just a note about Mobilefun, if you're getting it on contract.

I ordered and received an SP5 two weeks ago. I called them immediately to arrange it's connection. I got a call a week later to tell me that they couldn't give me the deal they agreed to, and wanted to put me on a worse one (significantly worse). I refused and asked them to get a manager to call me. He did, said he'd see what he could do and get back to me.

A week later I got a letter saying that they'd tried to email and phone me but couldn't, and so were connecting me to the worse contract regardless. I called, and got stonewalled on the issue.

I then got an email offering me a comprimise. It only worked out £35 different over a year. However, I'm sticking to my guns and have cancelled the PAC that orange issued to me.

They're quick at delivery, but they have some dodgy business practices...

It can only happen to me!!! The order I placed Thursday was delivered this morning........... at 8am.............. I got up at half 12 to find a note inviting me to collect it from my local post office......... that shuts at half 12.................!!!!!!!!!!!

But on the good side, atleast I've got something to look forward to Monday!!

Expansys have stock (SP5) - loads, just ordered mine :-)

Do me a favour.. for your own sanity.. if it doesnt say dispatched, email or call them up and make sure its going to be dispached. Their online stock shows their stock at that instant, and doesnt take into account orders not yet fulfilled.

All the stock may have been used to fulfill previous orders and u may end up waiting ages! Happened to me on 2 consecutive stock deliveries to them.

I hope i'm wrong tho :)
