Guest Whitster Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 Hello.. I was just wondering if it was possible to turn off the little green LED that flashes every 2 seconds on the phone? Also, when I got the phone I put my old sim card in. Now any text messages that I get come up only with the number, not with the persons name in the contacts list. How do I change this so I can see who the text is from? Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Welcome to the site :) It's not possible to turn the LED off. As for the SMS problem you need to have the sender in your phone's contact list, once you have done this the sender's name should appear in your inbox
Guest hotphil Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Make sure your contacts are in the format +441234987654.
Guest Whitster Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Make sure your contacts are in the format +441234987654. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've tried that saving it to both SIM and phone yet it still wont work. Not sure why it wont work...
Guest nuttyphilt Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 The number is probably in the phone book twice. Therefore the phone doesn't know who it belongs to and shows neither of the names.

Guest hotphil Posted December 17, 2005 Report Posted December 17, 2005 and there's no spaces in the phone number? also note that i don't think it will work retrospectively i.e. if you've received a sms from +447813287951 and then enter that number in your Contacts list, the name won't display when you re-view the existing SMS, only new ones will show the Name. Could be wrong, but I see to remember that being the case.
