Active Sync over bluetooth - Vario

Hello,

Im wondering if anyone can help. I have recently purchased a T-mobile vario and im having problems with the active sync over bluetooth. I can get it to connect via the USB cable but the bluetooth just wont connect. I have seperate software with the bluetooth dongle and this will allow me to send and recieve files... but the active sync just will not see the device.

On the connection setting > bluetooth > com ports - in the vario- it says click on outgoing port to connect to a device, yet there is no outgoing port option on the menu... it only shows an option to select an incomming port. Ive tried everything i can think of with no joy.

Anyone else with a vario managed to get activesync over bluetooth working??

Ignore me... ive sorted it..

The only advise i can give to someone with the same problem (as i have really no idea what i did to fix it).... the C500 guide on another post is slightly helpful for the vario but there are quite a few differences. ** REBOOT after every single change you make... the out going port magically appears when the phone finds a device with active sync. Also.. connect/pair the phone from the PC... not the other way round as this seemed to eventually solve this issue.

Good job this eventually worked as i was close to putting this plastic pen through the screen the other night!!
