Smartphone help

Sorry if this is a bit general (I know it is), but I've been away for a while. Used to have Orange smartphones (the SPV and the E200), then I foolishly went to Vodafone and have had a Sharp phone for the last 18 months. Anyway, my contract is nearly up, and sick to death with Voda I'm going back to Orange. I would like to get a smartphone again, but would also like a 3G handset. I know about the M5000, but that is way to expensive for me. I like the look of the C600, but it just doesn't have 3G capabilities. So is there another 3G based smartphone coming in the not to distant future?
