Updated Skype now available for Pocket PC

An updated release of Skype is now available for Pocket PC!

Well, that's not entirely true, 2 new versions of Skype have been released. Previously, Skype has required a speedy processor, but a version is now available to support devices with slower clock speeds.

The two versions can be found here, and the changelog is included below.

I'm going to give this a go myself, and will report back results... here's hoping for a Smartphone release next... :)

So no support for the 200MHz Wizard yet? Somewhat ironic, given that an older version of Skype is shipped with this phone.

Skype SHOULD now work on sub 300MHz devices so long as they have internal WiFi (like the Wizard).

Only one way to find out! :)

I have tried previous version with gprs, and it was slow with lot of delay.

Didnt read this thread all the way thru...but it seems the PPC version of Skype will work on the WM5 Smartphones by forcing the installation. (Letting the PPC installation fail and pulling the exe from the install folder).
