I hoped they would have fixed this by now..

when you receive a delivery report, it says the number it was delivered to, but doesn't look up the contact name.

This is really annoying  (especially if you send a large group text, then you get a couple of failures and haven't a clue who they were to).

is there any way to fix this? or is it just a general window mobile limitation (bad design)??

I'm sure some smart person will be able to sort this one out soon.... As many others i too find this very annoying for the very same reason.

Some Sony Ericsson phones have a neat way of dealing with delivery reports -you don't receive a text message back, they just put a "ticked" icon by the sent message in sent messages folder.

However, i still haven't seen any phone that deals with delivery reports for multiple recipients in an intelligent way.

Maybe this would be even better than looking up the contact number?

the sony-erricson way is very cool.

It seems daft that that basic phone functionality like this still doesnt work.

My old nokias always said on the delivery report who it was sent to. - they also could differentiate the difference between a normal sms and a report - it would be good if msft could do this as well so that you could have a different (or no) sound when delivery reports are received.

bringing this waay up !!

damn it symbian has a pretty thing about this:

has a separate folder for delivery reports only - thus you can clear all delivery reports! and it says simple in each report "delivery to contactx failed/pending/successful"

damn it !, two black marbles for WM5, one white for symbian
