another tomtom5/wizard question

i know there are a few of these threads but i'm about to spend 200 quid and want to be sure i dont waste my money.

I have an mda vario, and would like tomtom5 for it.

do i just buy the tomtom5 navigator version then follow the instructions for making it work in this forum?... where do i put the maps? on an sd card?

I'm hoping to buy tomorrow as i'm going away over xmas and this would be v useful.

If you buy the whole package including the GPS unit it will work without a problem. Just install to the storage card.

New releases from TomTom are supposed to only be sold on SD card.

I have TT5 working well on my Vario.

so you didnt need to install the software using the pinned guide then? it installed out of the box? :??: :roll:

If you buy now, you should get the 5.2 version which works with WM5.. If not, you can downlaod it FOC from the TomTom website.

Should install OK without the instructions here.

I followed the instruction and update to 5.1 for my vario, but can't get it to see the maps.

do you have any idea why?

I have Tmobile MDA which is same as MDA VARIO.

I have hardtime connecting the tomtom navigator 5 bluetooth to the MDA.

I have upgraded to version 5.2x but no help.

I also have activated the GPS applet. I was successful connecting my friend's tomtom gps device which was designed for Palm. (bluetooth device 9821x from tomtom, silver color).

I then bought the tomtom navigator 5 with software(Thought if it works with old bluetooth then it will work with new bluetooth).

But it is not connecting to my TOMTOM BLUETOOTH.

ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.
