does anyone know the best resolution (or aspect ratio) for contacts photos to display as large as possible on Windows Mobile 5 smartphones...?

thanks,

72x86

This way (as the WIDTH weirdly, of 72 is the limiting factor, not the height), it will allow for:

Images that are a full 72x86 in the contact list when you open them...

40x48 on incoming calls (the maximum they seem to be able to show at), and...

A weird roughly 40x45 size or similar, on SMS - where the phone for whatever reason, resizes them yet again, but NOT keeping aspect ratio.

All in all, Microsoft's implementation of Inbuilt Caller ID pics, is CRAP to say the least.

But sticking to a base 72x86, I find it works, just about.

(I use PaintShopPro to "buttonize" the images too with a one or two pixel semi transparent buttonization - it makes them look MUCH better)

Has anyone found a way to change the size of the pics for Call ID without third party app? Is there a way to hack the program that delviers Call ID info to show the graphic fullsize?

I only want to manage my contacts in onw place and that is Outlook. Outlook 2003 allows for pictures to be inteh record, but as stated above the pic is almost microscopic in size.

I cannot believe WM5.0 does not give the option of full screen pics with phone number as an option. This has been my biggest dissapointment with the HTC Faraday (Congular 2125) I have.

Nice screen for graphics but a prgram that sucks at displaying it.

Searching and seeking for days forthe answer to this.
