Guest tumaykilinc Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 3 ppl go to buy a radio, the radio is 30€, each one pays 10€ for the radio.. But the seller notices, the radio was 25€ and he wants to give 5€ back.. but 5€ cant be shared between 3 ppl so he keeps 2€ for himself and gives 3€ to 3 persons in this situation each one paid 9€.. and saler has 2€ now: 9+9+9+2=29 what happened to 1€? 8)
Guest stemill Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 The 3ppl payed £9 each = £27 The shopowner has the price of the radio (£25) + the £2 he kept = £27 It's that simple, there is no extra £1. This thing has been going round for years and still somehow manages to confuse people
