Guest Dr Who Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 After the first couple of weeks of ownership I had never used the camera on phone. However recently I have had to obtain evidence about various planning breaches where I live at some really odd hours (like between 3am and 5am) and it has been a godsend. Often don't have my digital camera to hand and have taken quite a lot of video. Shame that most of the footage is completely black! Photos I have taken at the same time are dark but can be lightened in Photoshop so are serviceable. So, camera is rubbish but can be handy!

Guest dolphinsmile Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) I never really used the camera. Now however it’s always in use. Both the c500 and m5000. I like the panoramic on the m5000 and the c500 has taken good quality, X-ray copies of my friends broken toe. They’re both good enough for unexpected family and holiday photo moments. I cant find the X-ray but these were taken on the c500. Edited December 20, 2005 by dolphinsmile
Guest w411y Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Nice photos :) I find it handy for occasional laughs that you want to take a snap of to remember. Also upload photos to my photoblog (see link in my sig)
Guest bennish Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 basically, it's something i couldn't do without just for spontaneous things. but i certainly wouldn't rely on it for a holiday. now, if they had a ccd cam... even a 1 megapixel... that would be super duper. the amount of pixels means jack if the sensor's cmos
Guest Dr Who Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) Maybe we could widen this to include you favourite snaps but maybe photobucket them so the admin don't get cross! Edited December 21, 2005 by Dr Who

Not to go off topic (but its my topic so I will) but have you any experience with PCDJ or Traktor? I just want a hobby to keep me happy over winter and the idea of making some top banana mixes is quite appealing. All I want really is to sequence tracks and have the worst of the beat mixing done for me - oh, and I would need all my source tracks mounted on an external USB2 HD. Don't s'pose you know whether that is possible.
Guest pd.ryder Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) I use mine all the time. The "mega-pixel" quotes, as bennish says, don't mean jack sh1t whilst the metering and exposure aren't addressed. You just get larger rubbish instead of the smaller variety. However, for rapid, candid shots without any movement, it's ace (lets not get into shutter lag etc!) The one of my daughter no bigger than a swan was taken on my old E200 (0.3Mpix) and the slightly better one of wifey and daughter was taken this summer on our "first" camping hol with my C550 (1.3Mpix). The image quality on both is hampered by poor metering/exposure, which if improved could make better use of the pixels available. Mmm, now lets see if I've got this "adding attachments" thing right.... Here goes.... :) Edited December 21, 2005 by pd.ryder
Guest Socrates Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 The pictures off my phone are like a 110 or disc film camera vs. a 35mm, but for those sudden moments when what you need is factual documentation rather than beauty it's FABULOUS to always have it handy.

Guest Peppermint Hippo Posted January 1, 2006 Report Posted January 1, 2006 Don't use my phone camera a lot but they always come in handy for those moments that you simply have to take a picture - like the lass dressed up as Lara Croft who i bumped into last night! ;)

Guest James Posted January 2, 2006 Report Posted January 2, 2006 sorry I don't, I have only used the virtual dj software, almost bought it! but I would need a nice laptop ;) I am so jealous Jilowap - I wish I had managed to get it together to buy your old CDJs!!!!!
