SMT 5600 UNLOCKING

Hey, I just purchased the smt 5600 and love it, HOWEVER, I am just learning to use it and go to Ireland tomorrow for the holidays and was hoping to use it there but discovered it needed unlocking.I have a SIM card from Vodafone that I use in Ireland and I was hoping to just pop that into my new phone!

I have tried following the instructions others have left, but trust me when I say I am crap with phones!Can anyone spell it out to me in the clearest and most understandable way possible how in earths name I unlock this phone!!??? PLEASE!!
