Guest rollingshock Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Hello all, I've had my M500 since September and have recently received a replacement because of a screen fault. Whenever the screen was illuminated it would emit a high pitch ringing sound as if I where to have tinnitus. I've had the replacement model for less than a week and the same problem is happening to this one aswell as soft restting itself every now and then. I definatley do not have tinnitus before you ask. Has anyone else experienced this problem and is it a reckonised fault?
Guest chucky.egg Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) No, not on mine. May it's a bug in the system (geddit, geddit, a bug) :) Edited December 21, 2005 by chucky.egg
Guest Confused Stu Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I'm sure I've read someone before having a high pitched wistling before from their M500 screen, but unfortunately I'm currently p*ssed so couldn't give a link if I was sat on it. My phone doesn't have such a problem, but then I've been riding motorbikes for 13 years so my hearing is permanently damaged anyway... Trying a search when you can focus might help. Alternatively, try on XDA Deveopers webiste as I might have seen it on there. Sorry for the vagueness.....

Guest jamesb Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 (edited) Thanks for your posts, I phoned Orange care yesterday and a replacement turned up today. Fingers crossed this one will be fine. Merry christmas everyone!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've had the same problem (and got a replacement) as have quite a few others - see this thread. I'm sure there was another thread talking about this too so its not an isolated problem. Anyway, good luck with the replacement! ;) Edited December 24, 2005 by jamesb
