Guest themanwhowas Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 hi guys. i have spent the last 2 hours trying to get into the boot loader for the orange spv c550. i have searched on the net and i get the same instructions. 'press and hold the record button while turning on the phone. a few seconds after the phone turns on let go of the record button and it will go to the 3 colour canary screen.' i assume that the record button is the internet explorer button. i have also tried the camera button. every time i try it i just boot normally and get to the sim password screen. i have also tried holding the 'record' button while turning the phone off and turning it back on with the button still held. this is not happenning. what am i doing wrong????

Guest themanwhowas Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 1)Hold camera button 2)Press power button and release 3)Release camera button when white screen appears thanks ok so i turned my phone off, removed the sd card, held the camera button and turned the phone on. i am immediately greeted by the orange splash screen (orange as in the network provider not the colour) then after a few seconds it changes to the windows splash screen. a few more seconds and im asked for my sim pin. what am i doing wrong here?
Guest w411y Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 Hmm strange :S How long you pressing power on for? Just press it, dont press and hold for a second and dont let go of the camera button until you see the boot loader screen (if you eventually do)
