Guest JMBrown32 Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 (edited) I have an SMT 5600 and a 1gb MiniSD card. I have encoded several movies with DVD Encrypter and Pocket DivX Encoder (then viewed on TCPMP), and even on PDE's highest quality settings, I'm not very happy with the video output. So I tried using Windows Media Encoder to encode some clips and the quality was much much better than anything PDE gave me. However, WMP10 on these phones pretty much sucks, and I cant view my videos in full screen. So basically, I either need to find a program that will encode my .vob files in much higher quality or a better smartphone media player that can play .wmv files. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Note: I don't really care about the size of the encoded clips. I only wish to encode 3 or 4 5-10 minute clips. EDIT: I tried to encode some files using Auto Gordian Knot on the highest quality setting and the video looked much better. Edited December 22, 2005 by JMBrown32
Guest martin Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I mostly use VirtualDUB-MPEG2 and the XVID codec. http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/stable/ Also TCPMP should be able to play your WMV files :)
Guest JMBrown32 Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I tried, but everytime i attempted to play a wmv, tcpmp would freeze and wouldn't work again until the phone had been restarted, so I assumed this was an issue with the player supporting the file type. Thanks for the help though.
Guest James Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 have you got the latest version? http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/
Guest jamjammo Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I have an SMT 5600 and a 1gb MiniSD card. I have encoded several movies with DVD Encrypter and Pocket DivX Encoder (then viewed on TCPMP) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>ive got the EXACT SAME setup. except i use a 512MB card ;) why are you NOT exporting your video clips as .avi? thats the way ive been doing it. and view them with Core? >> DVDDecrypter v.3.1.6.0 to 'rip' the DVD movie >> PocketDivXEncoder v0.3.50 to encode it to SmartPhone dimensions >> The Core Pocket Media Player to view
