Storage options

Hi Folks,

I've just purchased my first SmartPhone (Audiovox 5600) and am a bit confused by some of the storage options listed under "System Info".

Under Memory Information I have:

Storage Memory:1.46 MB (922KB free)

Program Memory: 21.6 MB (9.85 MB free)

Flash Memory: 27.98 MB (21.8 MB free)

What are these different types of memory? When an application is installed to the phone (instead of the SD card) where does it go?

An explanation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks....

Storage Memory: the storage space on the actual physical phone. By Default this is where all the programs are installed on

Program Memory: the "RAM" of the phone, like your PC. Memory.

Flash Memory - I believe this holds the OS/ROM files and is non accessible by users
