Channels cell name on C600

I bought this phone from the Orange Shop, here in Romania. I used spv services and now my phone works on Connex (Vodafone) too. Vodafone has a service that shows on the phone the name of the current cell - it's actually very handy when you are driving in the countryside. I enabled channels and receive channel list and added the 50 channel (it worked with my previous device). However nothing changes on the homescreen. I believe that it actually works, because from time to time the screen gets lighten up as the phone would receive new information, but nothing is displayed. It is my belief that the homepage itself doesn't show the cell name. Has anyone else managed to get this working on the C600?
