Guest removed-2 Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 I am sure this has been spoke about many time already, however when I search I am unable to find anything specific for the problem I am getting:- 1. I want to app unlock my C600 so I can SIM unlock it - it needs to be app unlocks so I can install the cert.cab file supplied by SPV Developers 2. I tried using the orange web site - my phone has been connected to the internet but the orange site still report its unable to find me IMEI number 3. I tried downloading the Orange Register program. It installs ok however whenever I run it, it starts and then exists immediately? 4. I found a couple of registry keys that can be modified to app unlock the phone. To do this I used windows mobile registry editor, however when I came to change the values it gave me the error "Access denied". I have now ran out of ideas, can you shed any light on this for me? Thanks Mark

Thanks Mark <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mark, I'm in the same boat as you! Tried the orange web site, tried loading the register software which just starts and then exits... I rang Orange Register people back with a view to register the IMEI with them, but they said they already have it but it can take some time for it to register (at least 24 hours) with all their systems (makes sense since I only initially registered with them earlier today!). How long has your account been activated on your C600? More than a day? I'll try the web site again tomorrow and will let you know if it works or not!

Guest kyrkesmith Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 Follow the instructions here using the Signed Registry Editor mentioned, which allows you to change the protected keys.

Thats what i was going to use at first, but thought it might be less 'buggy' by going through the official route. Do you know if both processes just change the registry values?
