Guest mike-oh Posted December 22, 2005 Report Posted December 22, 2005 (edited) Hello folks, I've just done the T-mobile upgrade and i'm stuck with their shitty dialing screen. I've installed a skin over it before but i can't remember how; you need some software to install the skin (a .psk file). Any ideas people :?: Ta Edited December 23, 2005 by mike-oh
Guest jfran Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 depends on your handset, however there are several cab files out there. There are only a few WM5 compatable dialpads in circulation, however you could find some here. rgs Jim
Guest mike-oh Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 Jfran I've the T-mobile MDA compact so it's WM2003se. Unless anyone knows how i can get rid of the awful T-mobile one so it goes back to the default one? Thanks again, Merry Christmas, Mike ;)

Guest mike-oh Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 http://www.howardshortt.com/ HTH <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's the one!!! Thank you very much indeed!
Guest JPo_23 Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 This does nothing on my Vario. When I click on a skin file to install it the T-Mobile dialler screen comes up & nothing else happens. Any ideas?
Guest mike-oh Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 Have you installed the .cab file? Then used file explorer on the phone and selected the skin you want? I'm afraid i've only got experience with the MDA Compact.
Guest JPo_23 Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 Yes I did all that, nothing happens. What I really want to do, however, is find a dialler skin that keeps the intellidialer working as I find this really useful. Failing that, I'd be happy just to be able to edit the t-mobile skin in such a way that all the pink turns to blue (or any less objectionable colour). Anyone know how to do either of these things?
Guest jfran Posted January 1, 2006 Report Posted January 1, 2006 WM5 compliant dialpads can be hard to come by, anyway I have found 2 that work quite well, One created by the guys on buzznet and the other the vodafone compact II They are both grey and become visible following a sfot reset. Alternatively you could edit your registry to use the phones default blue dialpad in a registry editor edit the following. HKLM -> security -> phone -> skin -> chsnge the string for enabled to 0. then save your changes. rgds Jim granite pad VodafoneSkin_and_indialer.zipgranite.cab
Guest fraser Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 jfran, do the WM5 pads work on 2003? The graphite one looks good!
Guest jfran Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 I couldnt say, but there is no harm in trying, you could always uninstall if it doesnt work. rgds Jim
Guest fraser Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 Doesn't look like it. Installed, did a soft-reset, no change was made. Didn't break anything either. So far...
