One thing I've noticed on my SP5 is that the current cellular provider is always listed as Cingular, even when I know I'm on an AT&T tower.

My SMT5600 would display 310410 instead of Cingular, but this registry change fixed that problem:

Change 310410 to Cingular:

goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/RIL/OperatorNames

Click Values

Click Menu|New Value|String

Value Name = 310410

Value Data = Cingular

Now it seems this has been reversed with the SP5, with 310410 / Cingular displaying properly, but 310380 / AT&T displaying as Cingular. I've tried the registry change using 310380 / AT&T, but it still displays as Cingular. It's got to be in there somewhere! I've searched the registry, but I don't see anything obvious. Does anyone have any suggestions?

BTW, the SP5 is fantastic!!
