Guest Imran_the_Binman Posted December 23, 2005 Report Posted December 23, 2005 (edited) Hi all, I decided, in my infinite wisdom to "customise" my new c600. So, got it app unlocked using the registry editing advice (brilliant by the way - will try to find the page I was looking at earlier, can't remember how I got to it now. Will edit post when I find it), and decided to play about with the start menu. Got it looking exactly how I wanted it (Messages in the middle for accessibility, Album.exe copied from my old c500 for photo/video browsing (massive thanks to "Looeee" for this post: "I don't like Pictures & Videos as much as on c500" ), and all was well with the world. Perfect. Happy? Only until I restarted my device, upon which I noticed that the "Orange Plus" (Account, Information etc) icon had magically reappeared the first page of the start menu. Troubled, I even deleted both the icon itself (from the \windows\start menu folder on the phone) and the .lnk reference in the registry value HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Shell\StartMenu) which governs the order of icons. Alas, and still, every time I switch off and turn on my c600, this icon magically reappears comes back to haunt me like the Ghost of Orange Past. Anyone have any ideas about how to get rid of this? Thanks for taking the time to read and reply, -Steve. EDIT: It was the SDA Application Unlock procedure that I followed. Worked great and can be found, 12 posts into the thread, and in a quote, here: Application Unlock c600 Edited December 23, 2005 by Imran_the_Binman
