SPV C500 Vodafone sms not working ... help please

Hello folks, Gogsy the noobie here lol

I have a c500 unlocked to Vodafone and I cant get my sms service Text messaging on vodafone to work. I keep getting an error saying that the message cannot be sent due to my call barring setting preventing it "Disable call barring and try again". But, yes you guessed right, my call barring is off.

I set up the voicemail ok with the 1211 and that works fine

it's amazing all you have to do is be patient and stop swearing at the phone
