Hello,

I had my Orange SPV C500 on silent profile last night then when i got up this morning to change the profile to Normal nothing happened.

I've used explorer to go to the following folder:

Storage\Application data\Profiles\

and i am sure that there used to be a file in there for each profile. The folder is now empty!

If someone can please confirm that i should have some files in that folder i'd be most grateful. Also if anyone can email me the missing files or tell me how to create them again i'd be even more grateful.

Thanks,

Sam

Hello Sam,

I have Just had a look on My Orange SPV C500 and used explorer to go to the following folder:

Storage\Application data\Profiles\ The folder is empty on mine as well I can still go into setting and change the profiles and it still works.

There is one thing you could check use explorer to go to the following folder:

Windows\Profiles.exe then click on that then it sould go to Setting Profiles.

Have you tried turning the phone of then on again?

Al a last resort you might need to Hard Reset the phone You need to back up all your phone book and things first.

I hope that helps.

Hello,

I'm glad your folder is empty too, that makes me feel a little better.

I have tried clicking on the exe file you mentioned and the same menu comes up as when you press the on button lightly but still, when i select a different profile than the one that it's on then it does nothing at all.

Also a few other oddities with the phone, when i plug into computer it doesn't recognise my phone. It says i am a guest. Then i have to unplug the phone, delete the setting that was already there, re sync and go through the set up a partnership. It then syncs but straight after, it i unplug and put back in again then it says i am a guest again!

Hello Sam,

That is very strange about Activesync not rembering your setting.

I am sorry I can not help you any further I hope someone else can.
