Help with some tweaks/guidance please

Can anybody tell me how to:

1. Disable splash screens altogether. Can all three (i-mate,HTC,Windows) be deleted?

2. Jump the contacts by first name, not last name. Ie. when in contacts, the display lists firstname->lastname but when you press and hold a key it jumps to the first character of the last name - how can I set it to jump to the first character of the first name?

3. Delete stuff on the phone I'll never use (bubble,solitaire games, pocket msn, all the pre-installed pictures, sounds, etc.)?

4. Adjust settings (e.g. add pop email accounts, wap settings, etc) without having to enter them using the phone's keys (i.e. using the pc). Is there a piece of software I havent found/installed, like Floats Mobile Agent for Smartphones or something?

While I'm at it... ;) ...

5. Is there a way to have all email accounts (e.g. 4 pop3) polled automatically for new messages, & delivering them to the inbox, rather than having to switch accounts?

6. & is there a registry setting for shortening the check interval from 15 mins to say 5 mins?
