Guest neilg Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Not really sure if this is a bug or as Orange intended and it rolls up some of the other DTMF issues too. When in call (this works especially well for Voicemail) if you then wander off and do other things like update your calendar or go to home screen (anything outside of the call) the tones play through the earpiece but are not sent to the network. For instamce if you are listening to a message and also want to check calendar and then hit rewind or save(2) or delete message(3) the tone will play but the netwrok does not recieve it. Sorry if this is posted elsewhere but I couldn't find it, I very much doubt I am the first to post though..... ;)
Guest Firaas Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Not a bug, otherwise people would complain about not being able to push number to select something while in Programs and on a call.
Guest neilg Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I agree with you there but in that case the key shouldn't make a DTMF sound in the speaker, it should revert back to system dull click/bleep when in the other applications even when in call (IMHO!!)
Guest HelloDave Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I've never heard my SPV make a DTMF tone while in another app during a call, but then I do have keypad tones turned off. It's not a bug as such though - how could you enter, for example, text in the calendar otherwise! It should revert back to the standard key tone when not sending DTMF though.
Guest neilg Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Agreed and Agreed ! ;) I was having a dumb moment when I wrote the bit about DTMF in other applications, I guess the bug should be that it still gives you DTMF tones when in call even if you are doing other things and it should revert to system bleep.
