Buy smartphone in Singapore/Malaysia?

Hi all, my first post....

I'm travelling through Sri Lanka, Bangkok, Malaysia, Singapore soon (yeah, I know, lucky for some), just wondering if prices are better for smartphones (HTC/SPV preferably) anywhere there, or if they have any super-fantastic-techo new handsets you can't get in the UK?

I wanted C600, but no Wifi, the main thing I was waiting for..... 300 quid for SP5 is a lot of cash....

Due for upgrade many months ago, waited aaaaaages for C600, if there are good prices in Asia i'll buy there.

Anyone know?

From what guys at work have tol;d me the prices are cheaper but for the sake of saving £50 if you are lucky, for me personally the possible problems with warranty issues etc would outweigh the cost.
