Guest mcwarre Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 A working alarm on my K-Jam! Not much to ask is it?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 I had this, this morning the phone decided to go slow and non of the three alarms I set were activated. It's a good job I have a back up alarm on my watch or I would have been late for work. On a soft reset an hour later all three alarms went off at one go and caused the system to play up so another soft reset and everything was back to normal. I blame the OS rather than the phone as WM05 certainly does not seem to be the realimprovement over 2003 that everyone thought. I think the main problem is the new "improved" memory management.
Guest mcwarre Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 D'oh! I hope that this is being worked on for a new (?) ROM. Anyone any ideas?
Guest MitchellO Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I recently did a hard reset, and installed almost everything onto either my miniSD card (only 1 game) or my Extended Rom (using the Ext.ROM unlocker). I have 35Mb ROM free, and my device is running amazingly! Heaps faster than before.
Guest Pondrew Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 ...I think the main problem is the new "improved" memory management. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agree that WM5.0 seems a step backwards with regards memory management. The device doesn't seem to close programs anymore, resulting in eventual slowdown and possibly even grinding to a halt if you don't manually close programs down.
Guest RichardD Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 if you don't manually close programs down.I tried the hard reset / soft reset thing on my o2 Mini as to not install the o2 stuff, but amongst various other things I'm missing, I can't find Task Manager, so I'm unable to close things manually at all now.

Voila!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 I highly recommend SPB Pocket Plus for full control of what closes and what doesn't ;) P
