Guest mike-oh Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 Ummmm not the answer you want.....but have you considered a wireless mouse and keyboard? Then you can control and use your pc to it's fullest where ever you are in your room. Merry christmas ;)
Guest Confused Stu Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I spent a while looking for software that could bluetooth control my PC (mine was to avoid being hooked to the PC during presentations) and I found a coupe that I really loved. The best for PPC that I found is called Pebbles - http://www.pebbles.hcii.cmu.edu/index.php - and the best for the Smartphone is called Jeyo Remote - http://www.jeyo.com/remote.asp - Jeyo isn't free, but it is so easy to use and simple that I ended up paying for it rather than using Kingherc's Pocket Control PC (it's in the MoDaCo download section under Tools - Productivity). Pebbles, on the other hand, is free. It's cool to be able to see your PC's screen on your PPC, control it and even doodle harmlessly on the PC's screen to emphasise a point, or if you're bored. Also, you can use the included Shortcutter to set up a simple screen with buttons for play/pause, fast forward, volume, whatever your PC has a shortcut key for. In both cases the hardest bit was initially setting up Activesync by Bluetooth, although Pebbles says it can use different connections too. Give them a shot. ;)
