Can a C550 be software upgraded to a C600?

I was wondering if a C550 could be software upgraded to a C600? If its basically the same phone?

Unfortunately not the C550 is a different beast to the C600 regarding hardware.

If you actually managed to flash a C550 with a C600 ROM then chances are it would become a nice paperweight.

yep, that's a no-no to do. but if you want to get rid of your c550 you might want to try this. ;)

c550 will take a c600 rom update to 72% done then you'll end up with a paperweight.

If you look at it from a pocket pc rom update point of view, the radio rom update takes, the extended rom update takes, but the CE rom update causes it to keel over and die, simply because it's not designed to upgrade the c550 2003se to 2005.
