Guest ambro Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Anyone who has the update, please check the following! goto IPSMApplication DataAction Update !!! and you should have the install files for the emblaze player and any other thing you might have downloaded through the update.. if you have them i'll host them so UK users can install the software on to their phones! Can any one confirm if these files are left in the folder upon install?? Cheers Ambro
Guest Aonz Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I think Paul has it but i might be wrong.
Guest ambro Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 guess we will have to wait for him or see if any one else from switzaland who has the update has still got it in their folder =) Ambro
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I lost them when I did a hard reset.... ;) P
Guest ambro Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 bah! damn! any one else out there =)
Guest youngerpants Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Newbie SPLATT found a copy of Emblaze http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=2326
Guest doncorleone Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I have the update but in IPSMapplication dataaction update, there is only the ringtoneinstaller_arm.exe. After the update I did a hard reset may be thats reason why there is nothing else?!
Guest jtsaint Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 I dont know whether the update worked for me or not but here is something that has changed since I de certified my phone. The phone now has two low power modes. IE the back light goes off and then a minute later the whole screen goes off. Did this used to happen? Cause I dont remember it happening on my phone?
Guest Gorskar Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 My phone does that. I bought it last week, but havnt unlocked it yet (might have another go tommorow) or installed any undates
Guest DJHope Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 Feel like a veteran now, we discovered how useless the emblazse player was months ago, good luck trying to find something that will play on it ;) DJ Hope
Guest ambro Posted January 22, 2003 Report Posted January 22, 2003 yeah just tried playin 1Extra on it but still same old error which windows media player gets.... "access denied" also no support for Windows Media at all... not bothered uploading any mp3s for it as of yet.. it seems a lot faster at loading unlike windows media player.
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Please see my post here. T-Mobile are using MPEG-4 video clips sent via email as a video messaging solution for the 7650 in Germany, so I guess you could play video sent by those devices in the UK using the Emblaze player. If you want a sample of an MPEG-4 video clip, try this. I haven't tried this yet, but I'm gonna install the Emblaze player in a sec and have a go... Cheers,
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 If anyone has the Orange Messenger cab or a link to it, please post! P
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 BTW, a friend of mine with a Nokia 7650 has just confirmed that his phone does use the t-mobile.de app for video recording and playback, so the Emblaze player should allow SPVs and 7650s to share video clips ;)
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Hmmmm, now if I could guess where it's looking for .mp4 files on my SPV when you choose "browse" I might actually be able to try the sample .mp4 video clip I've got... Anyone got any bright ideas? If you try to open a URL it will only accept rtsp:// mp4 streaming sites...
Guest Matt Whitfield Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Right, it seems to be looking in the root of "IPSMMy Documents" for .mp4 files, but I've tried a couple and one just played as a black screen and one crashed the player... Sounds like I've not found .mp4 clips that have been encoded with the right setting for the SPV. Hmmm, the Orange Media Player should really be pretty handy, but this isn't looking great to far. I shall keep on playing with it.
